4 Things to Love about Puerto Princesa, Palawan

12:54 AM

For good reasons, Puerto Princesa, Palawan is one the must visit places not only in the Philippines but also in the world. In fact, it is not surprising why the Puerto Princesa Underground river was recognized as one of the 7 wonders of the Nature.

After months of planning, my travel buddy The Promdi Boy and I booked our first trip via Cebu Pacific last Aug 2 - 4 2014. Puerto Princesa an hour away from Manila by plane and the Puerto Princesa International Airport is less than 10 minutes away from the city center where most hotels are arrange for airport transfer via van or private car.

Here are the reasons why fell in love with the place:

1.) The People... Such good people everywhere.

Palawan is a place filled with good people. During our stay, we've noticed that the locals are very friendly and affectionate.

Notably, the tricycle drivers with their funky looking tricycles scattered around the city and welcoming attitude are respectful compared to the some other cities which will charge you extra they know you're a tourist.

The locals brought extra good vibes during our stay. THUMBS UP!

To match our nature trip, we decided to stay at Casa Fuerte Bed and BreakfastThe place is good and you can feel the modern Filipino inspired layout and interiors. They also have a complimentary breakfast and free massage at Nuat Thai Palawan after your jam-pack schedule.

2.) Perfect Natural Landscape.

The Puerto Princesa Underground River, the beach, the amazing scenery, the rich biodiversity and landscape. Palawan is such a stress relieving haven making it the perfect destination for your summer vacation.

It is used in the well known Authentic Bird's Nest Soup.
